See the smash Broadway hit ”WICKED“ AT THE BENEDUM ON SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 14 AT 6:30 P.M.  Tickets for Sunday are $71. (orchestra level, center and near center) AND SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 20 AT 8 P.M.  Tickets for Saturday are $83. (orchestra level, center and near center) All requests for tickets via email please to antpennie@yahoo.com (If you don’t have internet access, call Anne at 412-364-6159) As a group, we have secured these tickets before box office sales begin but ALL MONEY IS DUE TO BE PAID IN FULL BY APRIL 27 (per the Benedum.) New Members Class

April 20, 27, and May 4

Perhaps you are just interested in finding out more about us. We invite you to take a closer look at Hiland. We are offering our New Members Class beginning April 20 in the Parlor of the Educational Building during the education hour after the worship service. In this informative three-session class, we will look at our relationship to God, the spiritual gifts that each new member brings, and the opportunities for spiritual growth, fellowship, and service here at Hiland. There is no obligation to join the church at the end of the classes. Those who wish to join will be introduced to the Session and the Congregation on Sunday, May 11.

Spring Clean Up Day

Grab your work gloves and join us at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 10 for this wonderful time of outdoor fellowship and then stick around because lunch is on us.

Vacation Bible School

We need ”Beach Party: Surfin’ through the scriptures“ volunteers!

Dates: June 16-20          Time: 5:30-8:30 p.m.

We’re goin’ to the beach June 16-20! Beach Party-Surfin’ through the Scriptures is our theme for Vacation Bible School 2008. Friday the 20th will be the closing program that starts at 7:00 p.m.  Dudes and dudettes, we’re goin’ to be checkin’ out the BE-ATTITUDES.

The Annual Picnic Basket Auction

Sunday June 1st

It’s coming up fast: The Annual Picnic Basket Auction will take place after worship on Sunday, June 1st.  The proceeds will go to Hiland’s Social Action and Mission Fund. Plan with your circle, group, class, choir, or on your own to provide a basket. Then come to the auction and bid on a basket to take home. Watch the Sunday bulletins for further details. THE ”YELLOW BUS“ IS ON THE MOVE AGAIN

We are headed for the Mountain Playhouse and Green Gables Restaurant in Jennerstown, PA on Sunday, June 22. We leave Hiland at 12:15 p.m. to see the comedy ”Unnecessary Farce“ then to the restaurant for dinner and back home. The cost of the trip is $78 which includes the bus ride, show, and meal. Don’t miss out on a day of music, laughter, entertainment, and fellowship with family and friends of Hiland.
